Target shooting

Target shooting is a precision sport in which divers shoot at underwater targets. Shooters, who have specialised equipment must be focused, control their breathing and maintain a stable posture underwater. This sport requires specific skills, particular attention to safety and good sportsmanship.

Although less well known, this sport is growing in popularity within CMAS. Within CMAS Belgium, target shooting is offered by Lifras. Training sessions and competitions are organised for recreational shooters as well as international competitors. CMAS Belgium ensures compliance with international safety standards, trains referees and coaches, and supports Belgian athletes at European and world championships.
